Bio

It was while attending film school at New York University that I became especially interested in the art and craft of film editing, and I have been an editor ever since.

After my graduation in 1986, I lived in New York City and served as a staff editor for the Michael Sporn Animation Studio, working on a series of Michael’s short films made for HBO and Sesame Street. In 1990 I moved to Los Angeles and was hired by editor John Carnochan to be his assistant on Disney’s Beauty & The Beast. I was eventually promoted to associate editor on the film, which went on to become the first animated film to ever be nominated for a Best Picture Academy Award.

I first met director Kevin Lima in 1993 and have edited all of his films since: Enchanted, 102 Dalmatians, Tarzan, A Goofy Movie, two Eloise At The Plaza television films, and a country music video. My other feature credits include the Oscar®-nominated Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, the Hanna Montana / Miley Cyrus 3D Concert Film, Despicable Me, the Oscar®-nominated Despicable Me 2, Hop, the Oscar®-winning Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of Were-Rabbit, and even the Razzie®-winning The Love Guru. My television credits include the first season of the highly-rated USA Network series Royal Pains.

My home is in Studio City, CA with my wife Lynn but we are currently living in Paris, France where I am editing Sing, the Universal / Illumination release for Christmas 2016.
